The never ending search for the delightfully strange took us today to the wilds of the cascade foothills where this handsome gent, named “Barney” by the lady of the house due to the resemblance of his “smile” to that of Don Knotts, was found wasting away in a disused den. Story goes that the recently deceased’s grandfather had been on safari and, while breaking camp one morning he and his party were set upon by a band of Baboons. While they had not set out to hunt anything of the order Simian, when besieged by the flashing teeth and opposable thumbs of this beauty and his companions they had little choice but to fire. This unlucky monkey caught the bullet and his cohorts scattered. So it was that “Barney” came to rest with us here at Nevertold and he shall be recalled as the fierce warrior that he was evermore.
